Got my new plan, pretty cool

So I decided to try out a new CrossFit programming plan. It downloaded right away to the app, which was super convenient. I've only done a few workouts but everything seems to be working as it should. It's nice having all the exercises and progressions laid out for me. Feels pretty smooth to use, honestly.

Still my go-to for training

I've been using TrainHeroic for a couple of years now, mostly for strength and powerlifting programs. This time I got a new weightlifting plan. It's just as reliable as my previous experiences. The app always works, my data syncs, and the variety of programs in the marketplace keeps me coming back. Never had an issue with performance tracking or the workout builder. It's consistently good, which is why I stick with it over other apps I've tried.

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for a strength training app and TrainHeroic came up. I went with the annual billing to save some money, which was a good chunk off the monthly price. The app has a ton of programs and the exercise library is really helpful. Felt like I got a solid deal for what it offers.

Detailed review of Coach Plan

I signed up for the Coach Plan to manage my athletes remotely. The onboarding process was straightforward, and linking athletes was easy enough. The workout builder is robust, letting me create custom programs or use templates. The exercise library is extensive with good video examples. Performance tracking tools are decent, showing progress over time, which clients appreciate. I used the in-app messaging for quick communication, and it generally works, though sometimes notifications are delayed. The reporting dashboards provide good insights, but I wish there were more customization options for those. Overall, it's a comprehensive system that helps streamline my coaching business. I haven't needed customer support yet, so can't comment there. The platform handles everything from programming to athlete readiness surveys effectively.

Decent for tracking, minor issues

I got a bodybuilding plan through the marketplace. The app itself is pretty good for tracking sets and reps, and I like the video analysis tools. Delivery of the plan was instant, of course. My only small gripe is that sometimes the in-app messaging can be a bit slow to load. Overall, it's a solid platform for the price, but that one feature could use a little tweak.

i'm a student, trying to save some cash. any word on if trainheroic has a student discount for their plans or the app subscription?

E Emily L. 3 weeks ago
I haven't seen an official student discount for individual athletes, but sometimes coaches offer discounts if you're part of a university team they're coaching.

A Anthony A. 3 weeks ago
Not that I'm aware of for general subscriptions. Your best bet might be to see if a coach you're looking at has their own promo running.

can you actually cancel a subscription easily, or is it a huge hassle like some other apps?

O Olivia Lopez 3 weeks ago
Super easy. Just go into your account settings on the website, find your subscription, and there's a cancel button. No hoops to jump through.

A Amanda Phillips 3 weeks ago
Yeah, did it once for a month I was traveling. Took literally 30 seconds. No 'call us to cancel' nonsense.

hey, trying to decide between trainheroic and truecoach for my gym. any coaches here use both, what's the big difference for managing athletes?

T Tim P. 1 week ago
I've used both. TrainHeroic feels more geared towards performance tracking and analytics, especially for strength sports. TrueCoach is a bit more flexible for general personal training, but TH has some slicker athlete engagement stuff.

L Laura White 1 week ago
TrueCoach is simpler, but TrainHeroic's app for the athletes is way better, feels more professional. Plus, the leaderboard and group features are killer for team motivation.

is the free trial just for the coach stuff, or can i try out an athlete plan for free too?

E Eric Hill 3 weeks ago
The 14-day free trial is usually for the coaching software, but many individual training plans in the marketplace have their own 7 or 14-day trials too. It varies per plan though.

J Jeff L. 2 weeks ago
Most marketplace plans let you try them out for a bit, yeah. You can usually see it listed on the plan's page if there's a trial offered.

if i buy a training plan from the marketplace and decide it's not for me, can i get a refund?

L Lisa Flores 2 weeks ago
I think there's usually a short window, like a few days, to request a refund if you haven't started it or if it's really not what you expected. Check their support docs though.

J James Thompson 2 weeks ago
Yeah, you can. I had to once; just contact their support. They're usually pretty good about it, especially if it's soon after purchase.

my buddy is a coach on trainheroic and told me he can give me a discount. how do i actually apply that referral code thing when I sign up for a plan?

J Justin W. 1 month ago
He should have a specific link or a code. You usually punch it in during the checkout process when you're subscribing or buying a plan from the marketplace.
0
K Karen R. 1 month ago
Yeah, it'll be a field during signup. If it's for a specific plan, it'll pop up right before you pay. Just make sure you copy it exactly.

anyone know if they usually do a black friday sale for their marketplace plans? wanna grab a few but don't wanna miss a deal.

B Brian Garcia 2 weeks ago
Totally, they do. I picked up a few plans last Black Friday, got a pretty good discount. Worth waiting a bit if you can.

J Jason N. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are usually good times for the marketplace. Saw a bunch of plans marked down last year, like 20-30% off sometimes.

thinking about getting one of the powerlifting programs from the marketplace. are these like, legit programs or just random stuff people upload?

M Megan D. 4 weeks ago
Nah, they're legit. Usually from pretty well-known strength coaches. I've run a couple, seen good progress.
4
R Robert Evans 4 weeks ago
They vet the coaches who put programs up there, so you're getting actual structured plans, not just some rando's workout. Check the coach's bio, usually they're pretty experienced.
